Games

Dutch Blitz

Jenn  and her family had a fun family night playing Life. Tonight my blessings and I played a few games of Uno Attack, which is fun. Then, some one remembered that we have not played Dutch Blitz in a while. So, we got the cards out and commenced to playing. We love this game and if you do not have it you should get it. It is easy to play, you have to be able to tell your colors apart and count to ten with a little fine motor skills and a little speed thrown in as well. The box says 8+ but blessing number one started playing when she was 5. I did notice that there are more complicated instructions in the box than what we play but this is how we were taught. This is a great way to spend and afternoon or evening with the family when the weather outside is frightful! Beats a movie or TV any day of the week.

My Dad is fine he did not have a heart attack but some heart attack like symptoms! His heart is strong, we praise the Lord for that. My husband says my Dad needs to move up here near us!! Good idea Dad!

May the Lord find us faithful.

  1. Hi Melissa!

We love dutch blitz. We have 2 decks. We bought one deck, and then there are 2 couples that we get together with once a month, and they all have 2 decks. We all prefer dutch blitz over all other games we have. Hope you have a great week. Praying for your dad.

    Blessings,

  2. We love Dutch Blitz, too. We have 4 decks because we love to use them at fellowships and such! We introduced it to the last church we were at and "Dutch Blitz fever" broke out. We enjoy it very much. It's always such fun to have a family game night, too.

So glad to hear the news of your dad. Rejoicing with you and continuing in prayer.

  3. I've seen this before, and always wondered about it. I'll have to pick it up sometime. My dh likes card games the best.

  4. Praise God that your Dad is doing well!

We too love cards and games of all sorts. If you are looking for a new game - SkipBo is another card game that can be played with a wide range of ages.

    Have a wonderful week!

    Blessings,

    Leslie

  5. I must be missing out on something by not knowing how to play Dutch Blitz. Thanks for the idea. Although my kids love Life and usually that is the game we play when it is the 5 of us.
