I have the weather underground sticker on my blog, mainly for the sun and moon rise/set times, but we really watch our weather via the National Weather Service. How do you, or do you, check on your weather?
We learned the hard way last spring that NWS is the only online weather service you can count on. We drove right into a storm and got stuck in a blizzard in April in NE Oregon with our 16 foot trailer. It was a real bummer. AccuWeather let us down by saying it was going to be rainy... I called Jennifer (her husband works with NWS) and he gave me the real lowdown as we were stuck on the roadside unable to see enough in front of us to go anywhere. :(
That's a good question. We are hoping to go up to see Jeff's mom this weekend and the 2+ hour drive can be a problem in the snow. So, we are trying to figure out which forecast to believe. So far the national one is contradicting the Accuweather one. I tend to believe the national one, except it is more favorable. What if they are wrong and we get snowed in up there?
