Kelli has had a fun idea. Posting a year in review type post. The concept: post the first line from the first post of each month and a picture if you like.
Here is mine:
~January~
We made it into the new year very quietly.
-40 below and no electricity
~February~
Now, I do not have such a schedule but I liked this:
~March~
Check out BunnyBear's blog for pictures of a glacier in Juneau.
~April~
I tried to post this yesterday but it was lost and not to be found again.
~May~
The bear with salmon won the contest.
~June~
Wet greetings from Valdez, Alaska!
~July~
First, here is the main centerpiece that was put together for the event I helped with on June 19th.
This picture makes me tired, I was exhausted after this.
~August~
I am loving the open house!
No camera this month
~September~
Okay, I knew that I my favorite season was fall.
~October~
I wonder how many weeks until this becomes second nature for me
~November~
I downloaded a larger group of pictures while I cleaned the kitchen and the bathrooms.
~December~
I find myself with a few minutes of down time this Saturday morning.
May the Lord find us faithful.
What an excellent idea! I enjoyed seeing the snapshot of your year. Must try and do likewise tomorrow. Will check in again soon. Deb
ReplyDeleteFantastic cakes too. I was just thinking, how did you stay warm in minus 40? Also, are these moose antlers your husband is holding? Curious.
ReplyDeleteactually called "North Pole." Wow. That is cool. And I typed that before it dawned on me that it is doubtless literally cool. I'll be checking back for your tour... hope everyone is over the illness.
ReplyDeleteAnd, BTW, we actually did make buckeyes here, half a batch. Yum. My Miss Dance was just in heaven over them.
Sweet memories now captured on your wonderful blog. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you dear friend,
Mama Karen
What a great little walk down memory lane! Have a nice new years - are you doing anything?
ReplyDeleteWishing you health & happiness for 2008!
Blessings,
Jane
Oh My! 40 below and no electricity!! 40 BELOW??!! Now I know why the Lord hasn't led me to Alaska. I get tired of putting on all the coats, gloves and such when it's in the 20's around here! Ha Ha I hope this year finds you snug and warm.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining in the fun! I loved all the pictures of your family!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteit's Lynn (your favorite Collins sister).
I just checked out your blog and I love
it. You definately have a talent for this
sort of thing. For Kayla's hope chest I
reccomend a picture and possibly a note
from each of her grandparents and great-
grandparents. These would mean a lot
to her in the future when they are no longer
with us. You know I got her mother her hope
chest on her 16th birthday and I'm so happy
you are doing this for Kayla.
