Thirty-five Below

We woke up to -30ish degree temperatures. The house is not cold by any means but the wood stove is on the other side of the house from the kitchen and dining room. So, I figured it was a great day to warm up the kitchen by roasting the only pumpkin we harvested from our garden.

I poked it with a knife a few times and baked it whole. I saw this idea over at Heavenly Homemakers.

Oh, my blur, I love my blur.

Today was the day our friends come over for the morning, I thought these two were cute sitting in the same chair.

One really good thing about thirty-five below is that the sky is clear and the sun is shining.

I cut up some stale bread today and dried it out for the Thanksgiving dressing. My favorite day of the year is coming!!!!!!

We ended the evening with the last night of revival meetings, yes at these cold temps we still went to church. Tomorrow night we have a different preacher preaching with a missions emphasis.
The forecast calls for warming up tomorrow, we shall see.

  1. How can one be so cute and so naughty at the same time? Those boys...ya gotta just love em.

  2. That is insanely cold. Is this a cold snap or normal for November? I like the trees in the picture of outside. They look really cold. Impressive!

  3. I need to start making and cutting up my bread too. :)
