A post for my friends(you know who you are)
I woke up and didn't feel like doing anything so I took a shower and finished up by hearing baby awake. Threw on my robe and got him up and changed. Got the eggs out of the fridge and sat baby and eggs on the counter while I got out the griddle. Made eggs and toast for the kids and smashed up some banana and avacado for baby. I ate and read blogs while he and I ate. Oldest boy woke up and ate while listening to a book on his mp3 player while my girls slept longer. After baby and I were finished eating I hollered for the girls to get up as I walked past their room to take the baby to the bathroom for his bath. They got up and ate their cold breakfast although I think one heated their's up in the microwave. Oh, baby wandered around the house for a few minutes before his bath while I put on real clothes. The kids finished breakfast and got dressed and we had our morning meeting where I read some of our school books and give the days assignments. I gave a spelling test or two and helped with some school work but I got up and began to wander around the house trying to figure out what was most important to do today. I left the kids to work on their school work and I began laundry and something else, can't remember what besides keeping baby busy and occupied.
Fed baby lunch and got him down for a nap. I then started cooking breakfast burritos so Elisabeth could put them together and wrap them. I ate a bowl of potato soup then, I filled the dishwasher and started it for the second time today. I began dinner prep while Benjamin was sleeping still wondering who was going to straighten up this house if I was doing this cooking, so I
After the cooking I hurriedly picked up a few things and quickly vacuumed the floors and sat down for a couple of minutes to check on Judith who was not feeling well. I then emptied the dishwasher so dinner dishes could go in.
I have dead roses on my dining room table still, I have paper clutter surrounding me at my desk, I haven't dusted or mopped. Perfect NO, boring, YES, hard work YES. Worth every bit of it, YES. Will I do the same thing tomorrow? Kind of yes and kind of no. It will be similar but different. What is sauce?
O walked in the door and I got them settled with dinner and I walked out the door. I am thankful that O will clean the kitchen after they eat. Because he did!
Now, I am off to spend a few minutes with my husband who is on the phone with his hunting buddy.
May the Lord find us faithful.

Pictures
/>
A special someone had a 40th birthday! One candle for each decade.
I cannot figure out how to put space between these pictures and I am tired so it is what it is!
I found the table for the kitchen used and I am loving it....not loving the cluttered counters but for some reason there is too much going on in the kitchen these days and it seems impossible to keep the counters cleared, I guess since I actually cook they are going to stay messy.
And finally, our dog, Emmy, I haven't taken a picture of her in a long time.
May the Lord find us faithful.

On a soap box
In the blogsphere there are many Titus 2 themed blogs...I don't have a problem with them at all, I like them, I read some of them. What I am really wondering is how many Christian women really read and study and practice that portion of scripture? Really, how many? Has it just become a catch phrase like the "Proverbs 31 woman" ? I am at an age where I am both a younger learning woman but yet I am in some instances the older woman. I have friends much older than myself and I have friends that are my age and I have much younger friends as well. Still thinking.
My older women teach me and they also challenge me, they are patient with me and they also love and lead by their examples. I love spending time with these women, I want my girls to be around these women to know these women and the God that these women serve. I love listening to their experiences and I have one such friend who is quite a bit older than I and I LOVE for my family to go to this woman's home when she has need of my Husband's handyman or mechanical skills. She tells them wonderful stories of her life growing up and of her husband(who has already passed away) and of her children and grandchildren. Then there is our special friend who comes to our home and spends time with us and on projects with the kids. She is a jewel. She loves us all but especially our Blessings! These women are precious to me. They show me how I can be of encouragement to someone some day in the way they are to me. So, take time to spend with someone, learn from them or teach them, listen to someone or talk to someone, pray with or for someone. This world is not our home and we are just passing through but, are we passing through in a way that makes a difference or are we just racing to the finish line passing everyone and everything by without paying any attention?
May the Lord find us faithful.

Our family
Ever wonder what we do for fun around here? Didn't think so! One of the best things we have done is to collect snow machines, we have bought a couple and the grandparents have bought a couple for the kids and Blessing #1 bought a machine last spring all of his own. They keep my husband busy keeping them going but generally it doesn't cost a lot to keep maintained. The good news is that I was able to get out with the family this week and ride around close to the house. My husband and the Blessings go over to the river and ride, we actually live in a good area to hop right over and ride.
Here are the Blessings and I, we have very little snow. See the dirt and gravel peeking through the snow on the road? I think all the snow has gone south this winter.
Blessing #4 really enjoyed riding, he loves being outside with everyone.
Dad and baby
A closer view of me and a couple of blessings.
Medium sized machine and small sized machine
Me and all my Blessings....I am truly blessed.
It wasn't that cold but I didn't put on a helmet and it gets cold when you have the wind whipping across your face!
Blessing #2
All the Blessings gathered on top of a gravel pile at our neighborhood gravel pit/pond.
May the Lord find us faithful.

We had a weekend?
Friday I had an oncologist appointment, talked to the doctor she wants to refer me to an endocrinologist in Seattle. We will see how that goes, there isn't anything new, she just wants me to see a doctor that only deals with thyroid. She also had blood taken but that is the extent of my visit with my doctor.
Saturday, the family rode snow machines and came home in time for me to leave to go to a baby shower. I came home and cooked dinner and clean the kitchen and prep dinner for the crock pot for Sunday morning and gave hair cuts to the male family members and ironed clothes and gave baby a bath and sat up late with an unable to stay asleep teething baby. Bless his heart, it took him a while and throughout the night he would cry out in his sleep but thankfully he slept through the night once he found sleep. I though, was exhausted! I was very thankful to pull into the garage after morning services to the smell of roast.
Sunday, was church. After dinner, I slept and baby slept, baby and I even stayed home Sunday evening.
Now it is Monday and my husband is home today. He has a different schedule this week and next so we are doing a little schedule shuffling. I am cleaning and cooking and laundering today. I have needed a day like this, it is kind of like a Saturday. Oh, I made 1 loaf of French bread for dinner tonight, 2 loaves of whole wheat bread, 1 9x13 pan of brownies, Pioneer Woman's meatball recipe (doubled, so I will have meatballs in the freezer for a later day).
May the Lord find us faithful.
