In Which We are Reunited

Often times these trips to the lower 48 involve the Blessings and I leaving a week or so ahead of time to optimize the cost of tickets and to spend a bit more time with family.

After Daddy flew in we began the first of two road trips. This trip was to visit family in North Carolina. Cousins!!!!

The cousins that live in North Carolina were thrilled to have older cousin Levi there to drive them around on the golf cart for hours on end.

Benjamin didn’t want anything to do with the golf cart so he played in the dirt with another little cousin.

Bubbles and dirt playing!

The family arranged for us to stay at this cabin with a beautiful lake view and they all came to us for a cookout. Great times visiting with family here.

Later that evening the immediate family converged on the grandparents yard for a fire with hot dog roast and smores.

It is always fun to throw rocks into the creek.

In Which Friends Come to Visit!

One thing about living in Alaska, people come in and out of your life. Sometimes you find people that you keep in touch with even when they leave Alaska.

We had such friends take time to come up and visit with us while we were in ole Kentuck!

A view of the creek at the creek farm.

I happened across two of my favorite people at the pinnacle, here I am with “Mom”. Not my Mom but a friends Mom but I still call her Mom after all these years.

What a blessing to get to spend the day with Alaskan friends that have moved away from Alaska.

Another Blessings Photo

Judith took lots of photos of the plants and people. I really like this one that she got of this bee on this flower.

Warm and Green

The first few days of our trip were warm, sunny and we were enjoying all the green and lack of winter layers.

We spent time out of doors as much as possible.

The kids helped set up a blind for a friend of Poppa’s.

Please Pray for Kendra

Please pray for my friend, Kendra. This post gives the update on her, this one hits close to home as she is a blog friend turned real life friend thanks to the Army moving her family across town from our family. I saw her the day I flew out of Alaska for our vacation.

Green grass, capris, family, friends and food

We went where the grass is green and the weather is warmer, for a visit only. Today I wore capris, saw people I love and haven't seen in a while, watched my children play in the grass and ate my Momma's cooking. Overall a very great day.
We have been snapping photos all day but these are a few from my phone.
Maybe tomorrow I will adjust to a different time zone, the kids seem to have adjusted.
