The older Blessings needed to check in at the library for the summer reading program so we decided to go to the library and take Benjamin to the fire truck playground for the first time. What is the fire truck playground you may ask? The fire truck playground is a local playground near our library that has some other proper name but way back when Levi named it the fire truck playground because it has a fire truck that the kids can climb on, in and under.
So, I failed to bring the camera to document Benjamin's playground fun.
Levi brought along his baseball gear to work on some throwing with Dad...about five minutes before we were planning on leaving the playground Dad threw a ball to Levi, the ball hit Levi's glove and popped right up to his mouth and he got two teeth knocked out. OUCH! Dad went to check on Levi and I went to gather up the two that were on the playground so we could head to the van.
O called the dentist and we found out we would have to wait a while but that was okay (that 30 minute rule isn't a rule).
I decided not to take a picture of Levi's mouth when we got home because, well, he probably doesn't want to have a visual reminder of this day. Oh, one tooth was a baby tooth that was already loose and the other one was one of his front teeth. The front tooth has been replaced and he is now home and eating smashed home canned pears, first food since breakfast.
Oh dear. Hope his mouth heals soon.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! At least he was playing with Dad, and not into mischief. . .
ReplyDeleteOuch is right! Ry had one of his adult front teeth broken in half. It took longer than 30 min to find it on the street. I knew to put it into milk and whisked him to the dentist. The dentist was able to glue the tooth back on! It looks normal to this day. One day he will have to have it worked on, probably, but for now it is fine. :-)
