Benjamin at the truck getting ready for a canoe adventure.
Getting fishing lures…
Waiting….
While Levi was waiting he threw out his line and caught a little baby Northern Pike on his first cast. See, his tooth looks great.
Benjamin had to touch each fish that was caught.
Ready to launch.
Fishing
Benjamin looking into the water.
Some Daddy time.
Lunch break.
When we met up for lunch we bungeed the two canoes together.
As we were moving back to the shore to load up for home we hit a honey hole and the kids caught a few fish. Total fish for the day was 6. Levi caught 5 and Judith caught 1. We released them all due to small size but pike are good to eat, boney but good.
I normally wouldn’t post pictures of backs but here Levi and Elisabeth are attempting to get a fish back into the water.
What a fun time! Love the canoes. Are they both yours? My grandpa had a canoe and would load it with Grandma, their dog and all their camping gear and camp on a sandbar in the river. He used to take me on day trips. Fun memories you brought back.
ReplyDeleteOne canoe is ours (the one the kids are in) and it was given to us by a widow in our church. The other canoe belongs to a friend and lives in our yard, so we get to use it;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun. :)

Enjoyed the pics! I think I want to come summer with you though - it's 100+ down here. For like 17 days straight and more to come!
