Wedding has pretty much been the main focus for the past few weeks. This week was all out wedding week. I am thankful that I was still able to be home some and to take care of most things for the family and there was no fast food picked up so that was a huge plus as far as I am concerned.
Here is the sanctuary after the major decorating on Wednesday night after prayer meeting. A few things were added later.
Oh, these crepe paper rose balls. We made lots of roses and had burned and even blistered fingers.
Bride, bridesmaids and flower girls praying before the wedding. The Matron?? Maid??? of honor was praying, I took the picture and walked away. I still had much to do before the bride walked down the aisle to cry.
The cake, didn’t it turn out lovely?
The bride asked for a walk in a park feel so we did what we could to give that to her.
Weddings amongst our people here are usually church wide works and this one was no exception. Not just the women of our church but husbands and children. I enjoyed working with some of our teen girls, they made dozens and maybe even hundreds of crepe paper roses and paper cones for the wedding and they helped clean up as well.
I slept for about 9 hours Saturday night, longest night of sleep in four or five nights. I could have taken a nap today but I hope for another 8-9 hours tonight.
The almost?? We began a Bible Prophesy Conference at church this morning so this week will be filled with evenings at church. Good thing the wedding was before these meetings so I can pay attention to the teaching/preaching.
The girls rolling and cutting cookies, they rolled and cut about 12 dozen plus.
The swap was at the home of a friend, we had chips and queso and a hot cocoa bar and cookies!!
My co-host bought cookie tins for everyone, they were cute gingerbread tins and one snowman tin, I asked for that one. Yes, I am different!

My two and the baby of the swap house.
Some of the other daughters of the mother/daughter swap participants.
I attempted white chocolate dipped marshmallow peppermint stirrers for the cocoa.
Elisabeth’s cup of cocoa
And, me with my mouth moving. I must talk a lot, at least when I am with my friends!
We were able to send cookie tins to two families in our church who have Mommas going through cancer treatments.
Prayer request: I have two friends undergoing chemo treatment right now. Would you pray for them?
A baby has arrived!
Monday night gave the opportunity to work on a fun, out of the norm project to celebrate a precious little baby boy.
I love pinterest and all the great ideas that are shared there.
Here are a few pictures of the food table before the eating began.
The babies first name starts with a G so we used his initial in various places around the room. Here is the Mommy’s special chair.
We had a milk and cookies subtheme going on as well. I love all the cookies displayed in jars and bowls.
Thanking the Lord for such a precious blessing.
